Overview

The Har Ki Dun trek, often called the "Stairway to Heaven," is a stunning journey through the Garhwal Himalayas, offering breathtaking views of the Swargarohini peaks. Accessible in both summer and winter, it’s known for its beautiful alpine meadows, pine forests, and snow-covered trails. The valley is also the source of the Yamuna River System. Steeped in mythology, it’s believed to be the route the Pandavas took in the Mahabharata to ascend to heaven. The trek provides an unforgettable experience of Uttarakhand’s natural beauty and spiritual heritage.

Itinerary

DAY 1

The Beautiful journey to Har ki Dun will Commence from Mumbai. Assemble at railway Station and Meet our Coordinators. Train No. 19019

DAY 2

Arrival In Haridwar & Check in our River Side Campsite/Hotel and have some delicious food & Venture in the market to explore Rishikesh & leisure time in the evening. (Dinner Included).

DAY 3

Post Breakfast we Proceed to Sankri ,The morning blue shade will fall all around as the jeeps line up to carry us. We will be nearing Purola which was the last decently populated village before we lose the network and turn totally carefree.

We reach Sankri, one of the most pretty looking Himalayan villages and our base camp to the treks. Enjoy watching the sky as it looks carpet full of stars with freezing cold. (Overnight in Homestay , B + D)

DAY 4

Rucksacks waiting to be shouldered, luggage bags dumped in the storage, We start on our drive from Sankri to Taluka at 8 in the morning. We drive through gradually thickening forests and streams cutting through the path. as we pass by The mighty valley of gods along River Supin.

In the first hours of the trek you will find many bridge on the tributary & snow-crowned peaks at the western line. Just before Seema, we will camp on a small green field from where you can enjoy breathtaking views. (Overnight stay in Tents & All Meals included)

DAY 5

The heavy breakfast will make you feel so much comfortable. The first leg of today’s trail begins with a short trek along the river Supin that takes you to Osla village, a beautiful settlement, parked at about 2590 metres. The trail leads us to Ruinsara Tal and then further to Bali Pass or Dhumdharkandi Pass. We need to cross the Tamosa river and climb up in order to reach the trail that is going along the river upstream. While trekking, you will be also crossing several striking wooden bridges.

During the later part of the trail of trekking, you will get a stunning view of the complete Har Ki Doon valley. Our night stay will be at the camp that will be located at the base of valley of gods peak, giving us another night of breathtaking views. (Overnight Stay in Tents & All Meals Included)

DAY 6

Today we will stay at Har Ki Dun and enjoy the most of the valley’s natural beauty. Prepare to discover the remarkable beauty of the Valley, as well as the captivating views of the Swargarohini Range, the Jumdhar Glacier, and a great variety of Flora and Fauna.

You can choose to merely remain at the Har Kin Dun camp if you’d like, or you can hike over to the magnificent Morinda lake. Valley is a great location for camping since you may spend the night in the most heavenly setting (Overnight Stay in Tent with All Meals Included)

DAY 7

It is quite difficult for the hikers to return from the valley because it is such a wonderful place. After breakfast, you will immediately begin your early morning trip back to Seema. (Overnight stay in Tents, Meals included)

DAY 8

A 5-hour trek to Taluka sets off this morning, climbing down by the trail, stopping at the rest points. The car waits at the end of the road to drive us back to base camp-wards. Sankri will arrive at the time for tea with an amazing experiencer for lifetime. (Overnight stay in Homestay, All Meals )

DAY 9

We drive to Haridwar & this would also be the night our trek draws to a close, we would definitely want to celebrate the endurance you have personally shown and the trust you have bestowed upon us with music, food and dance!! Be curious so as to where you go and who you meet. It’ll never disappoint. Just like it never did to us. It was a whole different zone and you will be glad to witness. (Stay at Hotel, Breakfast + Dinner).

DAY 10

Wake up with a majestic view & reminish the Trek memories, Post Breakfast Check out from Haridwar & we bid farewell to you with Sweet memories and bonvoyage. (Train no. 19020, Breakfast Included)

DAY 11

Its time to have an end to the Journey but it is the journey that matters in the end. Arrive Mumbai with Sweet memories and its time for farewell

1. BALANCE PAYMENT HAS TO CLEARED ATLEAST 15 DAYS PRIOR TO THE TRIP. UPON FAILING TO PAY, YOUR REGISTERATION WILL BE CANCELLED WITHOUT ANY REFUND OR TRANSFER

2. TRAINING GUIDE FOR THE TREK 

Basic Training 4 weeks prior to the trek will be sufficent to prepare.

Week 1: Start with 10 minute of jog eventually turning into 10 minutes of easy walk

Week 2: 15 minutes of jog & 10 minutes of Stairs up & down

Week 3: Run for 2kms - 3kms & 15 minutes of Stairs up & down

Week 4 - Run twice in 4th week for 5 kms under 35 mins 10

2) Post Booking WhatsApp groups for further updates will be created 1 Week before the departure. Please avoid calls unless urgent. For any queries you can drop a WhatsApp message

3) Trip schedule is subject change/delay due to unavoidable circumstances like Vehicle break down, Extreme rush, overall group speed and Trekkers United is not responsible for the delay.

4) Avoid wearing precious Jewellery/valuables while trekking, as Trekkers United won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.

5) Swimming in the deep water is strictly prohibited, Trekkers United wont be responsible for any loss.

6) Mobile connectivity is limited in the area

7) Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed.

8) Sightseeing of all the places depends on various factors like weather, train delay, vehicle breakdown, punctuality of everyone, peak season rush & we or any of our team member will not be responsible.

9) Mode of Transport like Train/Bus Etc can be changed with change in time & boarding/dropping point depending on the availability/any avoidable circumstance without any prior notice to Participants

10) Management won't be held responsible if you are stuck due to heavy rains, traffic jams, personal emergencies or floods during the event & you miss our bus/train

11) Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Trekking, or any outdoor adventure activity is potentially risky. For all these events, you are at your own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any accident or compensation in whatsoever manner.

12) If Train tickets are in RAC/Waiting, there will be extra charge of 600 - 800/- per person & 90% guarantee of the confirmed Tatkal Tickets.

  • Bags : ( 1 Trolley Bag, 1 RuckSack and 1 Day Small Pack for the summit day - Unwanted things will be dumped at the Campsite with trolley bag and Trekking essentials have to be carried in Rucksack and for final day just a small day pack is to be carried with a water bottle and lunch as you will be returning down to camp the same day. Q1. What is the fitness level required for the Har ki Dun Trek and how hard is the trek?
A. 
This trek is moderate and right from fit/adventurous to Beginners.

Q2. I am a above 50 years old & Can i do this Trek?
A.
 Yes definitely you can, If you are a regular Trekkers no need to worry. If not you will have to follow our fitness criteria & schedule so that you can complete the Trek.

Q3. I am a solo female wanting to Join, is it safe?
Yes we always have 25% Female Solo Travelers/Trekkers onboard & you will have an amazing experience.

Q4. When to Book this Trek?

 If you are planning to join us from Mumbai/Pune, Book it well in advance because usually Train Tickets are not available

 Kedarkantha Peak – 11500 Ft

Q6. What will be the daytime and night temperature?
A. 
During day time the temperature will be around 6 to 10 and during night it will fall down to -5°

Q7. Are trekking shoes mandatory?
A.
 Trekking shoes are not mandatory but, it will make the trek comfortable. Take a shoe with a good grip and high ankle support. It would be better if the shoes are waterproof.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Before 45 Days - 50% Refund on the Registration amount.
45 - 30 Days - No Refund on Registration
30 - 20 Days - 25% Refund on Full Amount
20 - 10 Days - 10% Refund on Full Amount
After 10 Days - No Refund

1. Cancellation charge is applied on total trip cost, not on any partial or token amounts. E.g. if you paid 10,000 for a 25000 trip, 2 months in advance and decide to cancel a trip less than 30 days before trip start date, the cancellation charge will be applied on 25000, not 10,000.

2. Full Payment of the trip cost must be completed 30 before the trip begins. Pending Payments may eventually lead to the cancellation of the trip.

3. None of the amount is transferrable to any other trip or treks & no credit notes
will be given.

4. If the Trip is cancelled from our end, Minimal 7% amount will be deducted & for the remaining amount a Credit Note will be Provided to use on any other Treks & Trips.(No Cash Refund)

5. In Case of Trip Extension due to Weather or any unforseen conditions, Indivdual will have to pay 2500/- Cash Per Day to the Trip Leader on Spot.

6. Itinerary is subject to change without any prior notice due to Weather Condition or any other unavoidable reasons & Its the Trip Leaders Call we value everyone’s safety over the Trip.

7. Cancellation of the trip or of any location due to reasons out of our control like natural calamities or man made incidents like strikes and change in state rules won’t be our responsibility. The participants will be liable to bear cost on any such incidents.

8. The company vehicle will only be responsible for travel from stay to the locations and back to our stays. Any travel beyond that will be chargeable if we are managing it for you all.

9. Sightseeing of all the places depends on various factors like weather, train delay, vehicle breakdown, punctuality of everyone, peak season rush & we or any of our team member will not be responsible.

10. If Train tickets are in RAC/Waiting, there will be extra charge of 600 - 800/-
per person & 90% guarantee of the confirmed Tatkal Tickets.

11. Mode of Transport like Train/Bus Etc can be changed depending upon the availiblity with change in time & boarding/dropping point depending on the availibility without any prior notice to Participants.

12. The photos/videos content created on Trekkers United’s trip (by our leaders)
is the property of Trekkers United and can only be used by us for advertising across media platforms. None of the digital content can be used by anyone for advertising/commercialuse without obtaining the rightful permissions by Trekkers United.

13. The IDs shall all be verified before boarding. No boarding shall be entertained without avalid Govt. ID.

14. Travelers must take care of their luggage & belongings. The management shall not be responsible for any damage or any missing items along the tour.

15. Our time of departure is fixed and the travelers must depart by the stated time & keep their status updated with the trip coordinator(s). Anyone missing the transport shall not be eligible for any refunds.

16. In case of injury/illness occurring to a participant during the tour, external evacuation/ transport services may need to be engaged safeguarding the health of the participant. In such a case any additional cost arising from making such arrangements will have to be borne by the concerned participant/participant’s family.

17. Only one offer or credit can be used at a time; multiple offers or credits cannot be combined simultaneously.
